ACT 4 SECRETS

MISSION BRIEFING ITEMS

> There is interesting items in the plane during the mission brieffing.

1) During the multi-screen display press Square to control the Metal Gear Mk III robot (press Triangle then L2 to play full screen).  Move on items to pick up them.
2) On the left-hand side of the helicopter, you find Regain item and ammo.
4) Go upstairs. You find here an iPod music and a PS3 (not usable).
5) You can switch on the radio by pressing R1 (and change radio station by pressing R1 again).
6) You also find a battery pack. This one extends the battery life of the Metal Gear Mk. III and of the Solid Eye.

MGS1 MINIGAME

1) To ''complete" the minigame (just for fun...) enter the air vent situated at feet of the main wall (on the left), or in that situated at the top on the covered way.
2) At the end you get the "FaceCamo MGS1 Snake", that you finished the minigame or not.

STORM IN A TEACUP

1) When you arrive at "Shadow Moses: Snowfield ", there is a snowstorm. You don't see very well!
2) Put the Snake Eye in Night Vision Mode to see there much better! You see moreover that there are lots of ammunitions around you...
3) Put the Snake Eye in Night Vision Mode every time the storm rages.

SHADOW MOSES: HELIPORT CHECKPOINT

1) Go under the tracked truck. You find the famous Mk. 23 handgun! When you fit with it, Snake says " Just like old times ". And you win 1000 DP...
2) Go to the left, in the small hangars (and pass some in the others by air vents). You find many Items there (Rations, Grenada, Ammo...).
3) Don't enter in Shadow Moses Tank Hanger by the main door, because the security robots (Dwarves Gekkos) should to locate you very easily!
4) As in the old days, enter by the air vents from the main wall (rather by that on the top)....

BEST WAYS TO NEUTRALIZE THE DWARVES GEKKOS

1) When you are attacked a security robots troop, the best means to neutralize them is to throw a Chaff Grenade (electronic jamming grenade). The Dwarves Gekkos are then neutralized during some moments. But use these grenades with parsimony, because they are rare...
2) If you don't have Chaff Grenades anymore, the best weapon against the Dwarves Gekkos is the MGL-140 (40mm Grenade Launcher), who can fire 6 grenades very quickly without reloading.

THE MOST HARDCORE BADASS ON THE PLANET!

1) At ''Shadow Moses: Canyon'' checkpoint, you find two hiding Geckos.
2) Call Otacon two times. The second time he talk about Snake's toe-to-toe with Raven and his tank.
3) When Snake saying that he fighted the tank with grenades, Otacon anwers ''You're the toughest, craziest, most hardcore badass on the planet. You're... the shit!'' among other remarks!

HIDDEN MAN-PORTABLE SURFACE-TO-AIR MISSILE

1) When you arrive at ''Shadow Moses: Nuclear Warhead Storage BLDG 1F'' checkpoint, you see a tracked truck.
2) Get in the trailer. Behind the box, you find a FIM-92A missile launcher!

CHEAT CODES!

1) At ''Shadow Moses: Nuclear Warhead Storage BLDG B2'' checkpoint, Otacon ask you to punch a security passcode for him.
2) Instead, enter one of the cheat codes below (you hear Drebin's monkey shouting).
3) Ignore the "Access Denied" message. Otacon enter finally himself the code he asked...
4) Know that you can only enter ONE cheat code. Choose the good one:

> 14893 = 100,000 Drebin Points (nothing indicates this cheat code works. But go in Drebin's Shop and you'll see that is good!).
> 13462 = Policenauts Ends Title iPod Music (from Policenauts).
> 78925 = Old L.A. 2040 iPod Music (from Policenauts).

BEST WAY TO ELIMINATE THE BASEMENT LAB GEKKOS

1) After entering codes at ''Shadow Moses: Nuclear Warhead Storage BLDG B2'' checkpoint, Gekkos attack you!
2) Otacon do not always give you the tip to eliminate easily these Gekkos...
3) The tip consists in sending Mk. III in front of the switchboard damaged by Snake in MGS1 (the panel is situated in the right room when you arrive at the checkpoint).
4) Press Triangle so that Mk. III switch on the panel to electrify the ground on which walks Gekkos!

CRUELTY TO WOLVES

1) If you kill a wolf after Crying Wolf battle, the others will attack you!
2) Having killed a wolf, call Otacon: he doesn't answer you and winces...
3) Having killed a wolf, call Rosemary. She says to you "a link between cruelty to animals and antisocial, criminal behavior was established a long time ago " among others remarks.

PATTERN TO BEAT VAMP PART 1

1) Use an automatic weapon which fires very fast, as the P90.
2) Shoot Vamp to bring his health down to zero.
3) When Vamp jumps towards you, spin or throws his knives, roll to avoid these sneaky attacks!
4) When Vamp is lying on the ground, select the Syringe on one hand, and on the other hand do not have any weapon.
5) Approach Vamp when he gets up. When he is still K.O. press R1 to make a grab CQC, then press Triangle to inject him the syringe.
6) Tip: if you miss the first time, start again. The next times, Vamp's energy gauge decreases more quickly.
7) After a video, the second part of the fight (against Vamp and Gekkos) begins. There is no particular hint for this fight...

EASY WAY TO BEAT METAL GEAR RAY!

1) Main attacks: simply perform three R1 kick combos in melee! Then, when RAY lies on the ground, press Triangle to perform various attacks.
2) When RAY opens hits mouth: simply rush toward it (Left Stick up + Cross) ! Its energy gauge decreases then quickly!
