03/28/09: first cheats (Hyperspeed, Performance, Air Instruments, Invisible Rocker) revealed in a preview showing by TestedCheats.com
1) From the main menu go to the "SETTINGS", to the "CHEATS", then select "Enter new cheat". 2) Press the indicated notes without drumming, to unlock the corresponding cheat mode. 3) Notes are sounding when you play. 4) At the end, a message confirms the correct code entry. 5) Don't forget to press Start to finish entering the cheat. 6) Note: you can toggle off most of cheats. And you can combine most of cheat modes.
Zombies & 80s Metallica Costumes!
1) Press: Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, Blue, Yellow, Red, Green. 2) The message "METALLICA COSTUMES UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, the "METALLICA COSTUMES" cheat mode displays. 4) Switch between "OFF", "ZOMBIE", and "80s" options. 5) Note: the Costumes mode works in Career and Quickplay, but only for Metallica band.
Air Instruments
1) Press: Red, Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Green, Green, Yellow. 2) The message "AIR INSTRUMENTS UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "AIR INSTRUMENTS" option. 4) Note: the Air Instruments mode can't be combined with the Invisible Rockers. 5) Note: the cheat works in Career and Quickplay.
Invisible Rocker(s)
1) Press: Green, Red, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, Blue, Blue, Green. 2) The message "INVISIBLE ROCKER UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "INVISIBLE ROCKER" option. Note: the whole band is invisible. 4) Note: the Invisible Rocker mode can't be combined with the Air Instruments. 5) Note: the cheat works in Career and Quickplay.
Performance Mode
1) Press: Yellow, Yellow, Blue, Red, Blue, Green, Red, Red. 2) The message "PERFORMANCE MODE UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "PERFORMANCE MODE" option. 4) Note: With this cheat, you don't see any more the fretboard, the notes, the meters... but you always have to play! 5) Note: the Performance cheat mode works in Career and Quickplay.
Hyperspeed Mode
1) Press: Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, Yellow, Red, Green, Green. 2) The message "HYPERSPEED UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, the "HYPERGUITAR", "HYPERBASS" and "HYPERDRUMS" options display. 4) Change each option from 1 to 5 speed (or off). 5) Note: the Hyperspeed cheat mode works in Career and Quickplay.
Extra Line 6 Tones
1) Press: Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green. 2) The message "EXTRA LINE 6 TONES UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, the "EXTRA LINE 6 TONES" is unlocked (you don't need to toggle it). 4) Go in the following menus: Music Studio -> Recording Studio - > Create New Song. 5) Select a category (Rhythm for example) then put Pause and select the Effects option. 6) At the end of the Rhythm list you find the following new Extra Line 6 tones: "FUZZY FLANGE *", "SPACEY *", "GIRLS DON'T CRY *", "CONTROL ROOM *", and "ACHTUNG TONE *".
BIG CHEATS
> When you toggle these cheat codes, the following message displays: "WARNING. While the Always Drum Fill, Always Slide, or the Auto Kick cheat(s) are enabled you wil no longer be able to earn trophies, earn high scores, or post scores to any leaderboard. Always Drum Fill, Always Slide, and Auto Kick cheats will not function during online play."
Always Drum Fill
1) Press: Red, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Green, Green, Yellow. 2) The message "ALWAYS DRUM FILL UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "ALWAYS DRUM FILL" option. 4) Start a Career or a Quickplay with the drum kit. 5) Tip: when the Always Drum Fill cheat mode is activated, no note appears and you can play with the drums as you want!
Always Slide
1) Press: Green, Green, Red, Red, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Blue. 2) The message "ALWAYS SLIDE UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "ALWAYS SLIDE" option. 4) Start a Career or a Quickplay with the guitar. 5) Tip: when the Always Slide cheat mode is activated, you can use the Slide Bar to play the linked notes (so you don't have to strum them).
Auto Kick
1) Press: Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, Blue, Blue, Blue, Red. 2) The message "AUTO KICK UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "AUTO KICK" option. 4) Start a Career or a Quickplay with the drum kit. 5) Tip: when the Auto Kick cheat mode is activated, the bass pedal is automatically played.
COLORS
Gem Color
1) Press: Blue, Red, Red, Green, Red, Green, Red, Yellow. 2) The Message "GEM COLOR UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, change the "GEM COLOR" option from Normal to: Pink, Stealth, Eggs & Bacon, Old Glory, Solid Gold, Platinum, Diabolic, Toxic Waste, Black, Pastel, Dark and Outline. 4) Note: you can combine this cheat with the "Flame Color" and the "Star Color" modes. 5) Note: the Gem Color mode works in Career and Quickplay.
Flame Color
1) Press: Green, Red, Green, Blue, Red, Red, Yellow, Blue. 2) The Message "FLAME COLOR UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, change the "FLAME COLOR" option from Normal to: Pink, Stealth, Eggs & Bacon, Old Glory, Diabolic and Toxic Waste. 4) Note: the Flame Color mode works in Career and Quickplay. 5) The color of the flames witch display when you play notes is changed.
Star Color
1) Press: Red, Red, Yellow, Red, Blue, Red, Red, Blue. 2) The Message "STAR COLOR UNLOCKED!!!" displays. Press Start. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "STAR COLOR" from Normal to Gold. 4) The color of the gems when your are in Star power is changed. 5) Note: the Start Color mode works in Career and Quickplay.
Black Highway
1) Press: Yellow, Red, Green, Red, Green, Red, Red, Blue. 2) The message "BLACK HIGHWAY UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, toggle the "BLACK HIGHWAY" option. 4) Note: the "Highway" (where the notes scroll) is now fully black (except for the lines). You can see better the notes... 5) Note: the Black Highway mode works in Career and Quickplay.
Pink Vocal Fireball in Star Power
1) Press: Red, Green, Green, Yellow, Blue, Green, Yellow, Green. 2) The message "VOCAL FIREBALL UNLOCKED!!!" displays. 3) At the cheats screen, switch the "VOCAL FIREBALL" option from Normal to Pink. 4) Start a Career or a Quickplay with the microphone. 5) Note: when you are in Star Power, the Vocal Fireball and its flash stay pink! Greeeat cheat mode! : )
