THE SIMS 3 TESTED CHEATS

We give you the right cheats, and tell you how they work...

CONSOLE WINDOW (the good commands!)

06/03/09: TestedCheats.com is the first one to give you the right Console Window Commands

1) Press and hold [Ctrl] + [Shift] then press [c] to display the console at the top screen.
1') If you prefer: Press & hold [ConTRroL] and Press & hold [Shift], and while keep holding these two keys, press the [c] key.
2) For some Laptops HP / Vista: press and hold [Ctrl] + [Windows logo key] + [Shift] then press [c] (thanks to Donedelacruz for this last tip).
3) Type in one of the following cheat codes, and press [Enter] to enable the corresponding Sims 3 cheat mode. No message confirms correct code entry or incorrect code entry. Note: the Case doesn't matter (contrary to the spaces...). Case is just given to read correctly the cheat codes...
4) Press [Esc] to close the console.
5) Tip: to re-enter most of codes, press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to scroll the console cheat codes, then press [Esc] to enable the code you want...

SIMS 3 MONEY CHEATS

+ §1,000 (1,000 Simoleons)

1) Enter: kaching
2) You hear a money sound and "+§1,000" displays.
3) You can re-enter the code again and again to gain more Simoleons...

+ §50,000 (50,000 Simoleons)

1) Enter: motherlode
2) You hear a money sound and "+§50,000" displays.
3) You can re-enter the code again and again to gain more Simoleons...

SET NEEDS, FAMILY FUNDS, FRIENDSHIP, VISITS, CAREER, TELEPORT...

1) Enter: testingCheatsEnabled true
2) Open the Sim Panels then the Needs tab. You can now drag all the Sim's needs up and down: Hunger, Bladder, Energy, Social, Hygiene and Fun.
3) Open the Sim Panels then the Relationships tab. Choose a category (Friends, Work Relationships....): you can now drag each character's friendship bar left (bad) or right (good). Tip: if you selected a category before enabling the cheat code, you can't drag the bars. You have to re-select the category to be able to drag the bars...
4) Enter testingCheatsEnabled false to disable the cheat mode.

5) After entered the "testingcheatsenabled true" command, enter: familyfunds [last name] [amount up to 99999999]
> For example: familyfunds wingtips 99999999
> For example: familyfunds wingtips 0

6) Hold [Shift] and click on your mailbox to access many menus and sub-menus! For example:
> "Make All Happy" = full all Needs.
> "Make Needs Static/Dynamic" = toggle between Needs never decrease and Needs decrease as usual.
> "Make Friends For Me" = You now have many new friends.
> "Force NPC..." = force Non Playable Characters to visit you: Firefighter, Police, Burglar, Grim Reaper, Maid, Science Geek, Social Worker Adoption (you can adopt), Baby Sitter...
> "Set Career..." = you can have/change immediately your Career: Journalim, Business, Military, Day Spa Receptionist, Grocery Store Clerk, Emperor of Evil...

7) Hold [Shift] and click anywhere on the ground. "Teleport Me Here" display. Select the option to teleport the active Sim as in Star Trek!

8) Hold [Shift] and click on an Active Sim to display two new options:
> "Modify Traits for Active Sim" = you can change active Sim's Mental, Physical, Social, Lifestyle traits!
> "Trigger Age Transition" = each time you enable this option, That change the Sim age transition: Baby -> Toddler - > Child - > Teen -> Young Adult -> Adult -> Elder -> Dead.

9) Hold [Shift] and click on any Non Active Sim to display two new options:
> "Add to Active Famiy'' = add the corresponding Sim to your household without knowing him. (Thanks to Miguel Quinones for this tip and for his screenshot!).
> "Trigger Age Transition" = as for an Active Sim, that change the Sim age transition each time you enable this option: Baby -> Toddler - > Child - > Teen -> Young Adult -> Adult -> Elder -> Dead.

10) After enabled the "testingcheatsenabled true" command, enter the following code to toggle the map tags off: maptags off
> Display the Map View: the tags which indicate the buildings' activities are hidden.
> To toggle the map tags on again enter: maptags on

11) After enabled the "testingcheatsenabled true" command, enter the following code to record a video from the Console Window: recordVideo
> To stop the recording enter: recordVideo off
> Note: it's the same kind of video as if you recorded it with the Sims 3 interface...

12) After enabled the "testingcheatsenabled true" command, enter the following code to set the game speed from the Console Window: speed [number between 0 to 4]
> For example: speed 3
> Note: it's the same speed setting that with the Sims 3 interface...

13) After enabled the "testingcheatsenabled true" command, enter the following code to toggle all audio (musics and sounds) off: playsounds off
> To toggle all audio on again, enter: playsounds on

SIMS 3 OBJECT CHEATS

Move objects where you want

1) Enter: moveObjects on
2) Open the Buy or the Build menu.
3) Now, you can place the objects you buy (almost) anywhere! For example: cars and trees in the house, and toilets in the garden! But you cannot place the toilet in the street...
4) Enter moveObjects off to disable the cheat mode.

Toggle whether objects fade when the camera gets close to them

1) Enter: fadeObjects on
2) Enter fadeObjects off to disable the code.

SIMS 3 VISUAL CHEATS

DISABLE the Llamas messageS (the whole truth about this code!)

> Tip: contrary to many websites say, the "Llamas code" is not made to display "Llamas enabled" message... This code is made to DISABLE the Llamas messageS!
> Note: the Llamas messages are the "warning" messages with an exclamation mark into a "road sign". For example: "/!\ Video has been saved to The Sims 3 Game Launcher."
1) So, to disable the Llamas message, enter: enableLlamas off
2) The "/!\ Llamas disabled" message displays. And no more Llama message display now...

3) To display again the Llamas messages, enter: enableLlamas on
4) The famous "/!\ Llamas enabled" message displays, and the "Llamas messages" can be displayed again (as you can see on the image).

Disable some terrain constraints

1) Enter: constrainFloorElevation true
2) Enter in Build mode.
3) You can now set (more or less....) the floor elevation up and down under a Sims, an object, a wall...
4) Enter constrainFloorElevation false to disable the cheat mode.

Set motion speed

1) Enter: slowMotionViz 0 to 8
2) For example: slowmotionviz 6
3) Notes: 0 is normal, 8 is slowest. That not affects time.

Quickly toggle between window mode and full screen mode

1) Enter: fullscreen on to enable full screen mode
2) Enter fullscreen off to enable windowed mode

Show the realtime frame rate

1) Enter: fps on
2) Note: this code display the realtime frame rate in the upper right corner of the screen.
3) Enter fps off to disable the Frames Per Second display.

Hide talk/throught balloons above Sim heads

1) Enter: hideHeadlineEffects on
2) Enter: hideHeadlineEffects off to display the talk/throught balloons again.

SIMS 3 MISCELLANEOUS CHEATS

Unlock outfits

1) Start a New Game, and before entering the Create Sims menu, enter the code: unlockOutfits on
2) At the Create Sims screen, go the Clothing menu then to the Everyday menu.
3) At the Eveyday menu, select the Tops or the Bottoms.
4) Scroll to the lower menus to find some career and service uniforms.

Return the named Sim at home

1) Enter: resetsim first name last name
2) For example: resetsim denzel wingtips
3) Warning: if you leave a current activity, that may affect your relationships, Needs, Career ("missing work")...

Quickly exit the game

> Enter: quit

SIMS 3 EASTER EGGS

Print a random joke to the console!

1) Enter: jokePlease
2) A random joke display.
3) Re-enter the code to display another joke (and re-enter the code if the joke is finally the same...).
4) Warning: the jokes are so funny that you can die laughing!

Sunset Valley: secret mine monster!

1) Select Map View then set the default camera angle (diagonal view centered on downtown).
2) Go to the northwest, between the two lakes.
3) There is a sort of dry lake in the middle. Zoom in.
4) Rotate the camera to the left to see the old disused mine.
5) Zoom in to see the monster's eyes in the dark!
6) Zoom in again to enter the mine: don't be afraid, it's just two eyes in the dark!

Riverview: secret mine monster

1) Select Map View then set the default camera angle (diagonal view centered on the main island/downtown).
2) Go to the southeast (down the river).
3) In front of the land end, near a road and a house, you see two big rocks.
4) Zoom on the rock at the foot of the hill.
5) Rotate the camera to the left to see the old disused mine...
6) Zoom in to see the monster's eyes in the dark.
7) Zoom in again to enter the mine: don't be afraid, it's just the hill which has eyes...
