1) Display Steam control panel on Windows, select "My games" tab, then "Left 4 Dead 2 "... 2) Right click on "Left 4 Dead 2" and select the "Properties" option. 3) In "Left 4 Dead 2 - Properties" window, click on "Set Launch options...". 4) In "Launch Options - Left 4 Dead 2" window, enter: -console 5) Click on "OK", then "Close", and launch Left 4 Dead 2! 6) Note: when you don't want to cheat, enter nothing in the "Launch Options - Left 4 Dead 2" window...
IN LEFT 4 DEAD 2
1) At "Left 4 Dead 2 " main menu, the IntroConsole Window displays. 2) You must enter in order the following console command to be able to display the console window later (ingame): bind p toggleconsole 3) Press [Enter] key or click on "Submit" to enable. 4) Notes: the case doesn't matter, but the spaces are important. And you can choose another letter than "P". Note: if other websites write the code with p too, it's because they copied off us!^^ The letter you choosen can't be used in the lobby talk window ("Say")... 5) Now, enter one of the following map code in the Intro Console Window:
map c5m1_waterfront_sndscape(note: this debug version includes the Park but can't be finished! Warning: enabling this cheat code will damage all levels graphics until you quit the game.)
6) Ingame, press [p] (if it's the chosen key) to display the Ingame Console Window. 7) Enter sv_cheats 1 to enable cheats. The message "Server cvar 'sv_cheats' changed to 1" displays. (tip: enter SV_CHEATS 0 to disable cheats). 8) Warning: the intro Console Window only appears at the main menu when you launch the game. So, if you wish to change of map, enter the corresponding map code ingame with the map command or the changelevel command. For example:

"Guardin' Gnome" Achievement
> Achievement description: "Rescue Gnome Chompski from the Carnival." 1) Note: some people think that you can win the Achievement by finishing Fairground chapter. That's false: you must get aboard the helicopter with Chompski in the last chapter (Concert) to win! 2) You will find Chompski in Fairground (chapter 2), at the Peanut shooting gallery. 3) Press the button then shoot all targets (except the peanut character one which substracts 100 pts!), to get at least 750 points in 45 secondes. Retry until victory. 4) Pick-up Gnome Chompski in the box to the left. Now you must carry him through all remain chapters! 5) Note: you can drop it when you need, but avoid to throw him if you don't want to lose it: it can be stucked under stairs for example. Tip: to drop it at the foot of you, use the button to change weapon/iventory items. 6) Warning: when special infected hurts you, you release Chompski. And a block thrown by a Tank can destroy it! 7) But don't worry if you die: you will find the gnome at the starting Safe House. 8) At the end of Barns chapter, you must go through an infinite Horde up to the Safe House: it's very hard by carrying the gnome! 9) But there is a tip: after going out from the bumper cars, you can see the Safe House through railrings. Throw Chompski over railrings, then continue your way (climb the roofs...). 10) Alert the Horde: you can now go through the Horde by using your weapons nearly until the end! Pick-up Chompski where you leaved it then enter the Safe House. 11) During the Concert, drop the gnome when you fight the Hordes and the Tanks. But when rescue arrives, pick-up Chompski then get aboard the helicopter with it to win "Guardin' Gnome" Achievement....
"Fried Piper" Achievement
> Achievement description: "Use a Molotov to burn a Clown leading at least 10 Common Infected". 1) As soon as you hear a Clown sound, prepare to throw a molotov on it! 2) A good place is in Coaster chapter's first amusement ride (water one with swans).
"Gong Show" Achievement
> Achievement description: "Prove you are stronger than Moustachio". 1) Few moment after the beginning of Barns Chapter, you find a "Strength test" before the bumper cars. You can read: "ARE YOU AS STRONG AS MOUSTACHIO? PROVE IT!". 2) Use a melee weapon to hit the machine. But to win the Achievement, you must take in order an adrenaline shoot! 3) Tip: you can often find a melee weapon and the Adrenaline in the "'mess hall" before the game. You can also sometime find the Adrenaline in the middle of the bumper cars. 4) Warning: when the game is broken, a Horde is coming!
"Stache Whacker" Achievement
> Achievement description: "Prove you are faster than Moustachio.". 1) After the bumper cars and before the barns, you find a "whack-a-Mole" game: the 'STACHE WHACKER. 2) You can use pistol(s) or a melee weapon. 3) Press the button then reach the score of 42 to break the game and win the Achievement. 4) Note: you will need one or two Continues to succeed. 5) Warning: when the game is broken, a Horde is coming!
"Midnight Rider" Achievement
> Achievement description: "Survive the Dark Carnival Campaign.". 1) To unlock the Achievement, you must do the entire campaign from the first chapter (Highway) to the last (Concert). 2) Contrary to some people think, the helicopter not always take the survivors on the left side of the stage, it sometimes take them on the right side.
