Punch-Out!!

TESTED TIPS & CHEATS

EASY WAY TO GET THE HEADGEAR ASSIST!!

1) Deliberately lose 100 fights in Career mode!!
2) After the 100th lost fight, Doc (your coatch) say you that you get a gift from the WVBA, and that ain't chocolate!!
3) A message confirms that you are the "biggest loser", and the WVMA Commissioner has sent you a gift.
4) Quit the match then go to the Career Options. A new option appeared: the Gift (this option will become the "Headgear Assist" after enabled).
5) Punch the gift to find the Headgear Assist. A message informs you that the Headgear Assist helps you to take less damage from most attacks!!
6) Enable Headgear Option Box, then fight in Career. The Headgear option displays now when you select an opponent. Tick the option to wear the headgear during the fight...

REGAINING HEALTH!!

Regain health while your opponent is down!!

1) After knocking an opponent down, you can slowly regain health like this one!!
2) Depending on your control scheme, shake alternately the Remote and the Nunchuck, Or press alternately the (1) and (2) buttons!!
3) As long as your opponent is down, you can regain health!!
4) Note: contrary to say some other websites, it can be done each time your opponent is down...

Regain health between two rounds!!

1) When Doc (your coatch) gives you advice between two rounds, press the (-) minus button on the Remote (whatever your control scheme). You hear a chime...
2) Once Doc stopped speaking, he takes and eat a chocolate bar!!
3) That replenishes most of your health gauge just before the next round starts!!
4) Note: that can only be done once per match; so use it at the right time...

AVOID TO BE TKO'D!!

1) If you are KO'd three times during a match, your are TKO'd at the third: you are eliminated. You see a special animation for that.
2) But you have a chance to avoid the TKO!! During the animation, just before Little Mac falls on the ground, shake alternately the Remote and the Nunchuck, Or press alternately the (1) and (2) buttons (depending on your control scheme). Note: you don't hear a sound.
3) If you have the good timing and if you have chance, little Mac regain energy and continue to fight (you see a new animation)!!
4) Note: it can only be done once per match.

WIN THE "KO a crownless King Hippo!" CHALLENGE!!

> King Hippo blocks all your direct attacks. The only way to hit him is to counter attack:
1) When King Hippo raises his glove in preparation off his attack, dodge to the left or to the right to avoid his punch.
2) Once avoided the attack, immediately punch him one time to the face (Jab), then one time to the belly (Hook). You now can punch him several times to the face and to the belly!
3) Repeat again and again the same pattern.

> When King Hippo has only half of his health, he also performs a new move with the two punches simultaneously! There is two ways to avoid this attack:
1) You can just Duck to bend down and avoid this move, by pressing the Down direction. Note: you can't counter attack after that.
2) You can now perform the punch called "One-Punch-Knockdown": hook immediately King Hippo as he flashes red when he backs up to attack you; that throws Hippo in ropes, and he loses his crown!! Perform the One-Punch-Knockdown a second time (yep...
